Backtracking and k-Nearest Neighbour for Non-Player Character to Balance Opponent in a Turn-Based Role Playing Game of Anagram

Therefore, it imperative to insert artificial intelligence (AI) into NPC make possess balance This study investigates AI algorithm that most appropriate for games. We tested three scenarios: Descending AI, Random and k-Nearest Neighbour (k-NN). gets solution selecting word highest score all possible answers. picks randomly answers, while k-NN chooses closest one human players. The results show best strongest NPC, which always score, followed k-NN. However, makes constructed has number turns at average 18, 14 15 turns. Looking remaining lives end game, 25 left, 59 lives, 48 lives. Less suggest containing matches closer therefore suitable NPC.
